Brad Meisner

Educational Gerontology (2014-2020)

Dr. Brad Meisner is an Assistant Professor in the School of Kinesiology and Health Science at York University. His professional interests are focused on understanding the concept of ‘healthy aging’ and exploring strategies to promote health and wellness with aging. Brad’s work not only includes conducting original research but also public education and outreach. This practical and applied approach serves to advocate for the healthy processes of aging as well as to challenge the common misconceptions and stereotypes of “normal” aging. These educational efforts are designed for middle-aged and older adults, health professionals and care providers, as well as undergraduate and graduate students. Brad completed his BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Health Studies at the University of Toronto and continued on to York University to complete his MSc, PhD, and Graduate Doctoral Diploma in Health Psychology.
